Summer Swim 2025 Dates
Good afternoon!
The board and I had our first meeting of the year and now we have dates and additional information for y'all to plan your summers accordingly.
1) Registration: Friday, April 11th at 6 PM in the Carson-Newman MSAC. Registration can also be done online starting on this date. In person, we will have Swim and Tri present for suits and other equipment purchases. Registration fees will be as follows. 1 swimmer: $250, 2 swimmers: $475, 3 swimmers: $675, 4+ swimmers: $800.
2) Kickoff Party: Sunday, May 18th, 4-6 PM at the Jefferson City Outdoor Pool (JCOP). Coaches will be introduced, kids will play, and parents will learn volunteer roles.
3) First Practices: Monday, May 19th, 5-6 or 6-7 PM @ JCOP. Choose 1 to attend.
4) Morning Practices Begin: Following week; either Monday (5/26) or Tuesday (5/27) @ JCOP. This year, we will have morning practices from 8:30 to 9:30 every weekday. This will allow families more options and hopefully result in less crowded Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Each day, you choose 1 of the 3 practices to attend.
5) Time Trials: Thursday, May 29th in the PM. Exact times TBD.
6) City Meet Championship: Thursday-Sunday, July 10-12 @ UT Allan Jones Aquatic Center. Should be same schedule as normal with 10&Under prelims on Thursday PM, 11&Up prelims on Friday AM, all ages finals on Saturday.
7) Smoky Mountain Invitational: Saturday-Sunday, July 26-27 @ the Springbrook Pool in Alcoa. This will be the first year that Smoky follows City. Our emphasis and priority of the summer will still be City! Think of this as a bonus meet. The week following City we'll have a "fun week" with water polo, the alumni/coaches meet we attempted last year, etc. The following week we'll get moving again for Smoky.
*We will find out our League 2 dual meet schedule on Tuesday, March 25th. Banquet information is TBD.
Our swim lesson program, The Cuda Academy, is in the works. Information on that will be posted and sent in the coming weeks. Last year, we had a "pre-summer tune-up" month at C-N for MS & HS swimmers. It's unlikely this will occur this spring due to C-N pool rental costs that we didn't have in the past. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram (@jeffersoncityswimclub) to stay in the loop.
I hope this is helpful for everybody! Please reach out if you have any questions!
GO CUDAS!!!
Josh
