Good evening!

Now that most people have registered, I just wanted to send a reminder about our kick-off party this Sunday, May 18th at the Jefferson City Outdoor Pool from 4 to 6 PM. The plan is for us coaches to introduce ourselves then go swim (for fun, not practice) with the kids. During that time, our board members will continue to hang out with parents to teach them the basics of a swim meet including how to work some of the volunteer jobs. Lifeguards will be present, and we're just swimming for fun, so non-registered family members are more than welcome to get in the water.

Right now, the forecast doesn't look awesome for Sunday. In East TN, that'll likely change 10 times back and forth before the actual event. Now would be a good time to sign up for Remind notifications by texting @b9293e to (415) 749-9892. If we ever cancel due to weather, it'll be through Remind and fairly last minute since we will swim in rain—just not lightning.

One more thing for y'all: Coach Grace and I will unfortunately not be present on Monday for the first night of practices. We're going to Dollywood with Jefferson Middle School where we work for our end of the year fieldtrip. We 100% trust our assistant coaches to run the show in our absence. That being said, please ask any and all questions you may have Sunday.
