    Grown-Up Swimming: WE NEED YOU!

    Good morning, Barracuda family!

Last Wednesday evening, the Jefferson City Wash-Ups lost their first Grown-Up Swimming meet! Noooooooooo! This email is me trying to recruit you to help us out on our last couple of meets of the season (and have a lot of fun).

What is Grown-Up Swimming? It's like adult softball, or kickball, but probably even less serious than that. The longest races are the 100 IM and 100 free, but you don't even have to swim those. You choose your events, and there are 25s of each stroke. If you can make it to the other side of the pool in a 25 free you will literally, automatically score points for us! We have the 20-something year old age group locked down, but we desperately need folks in their 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s!

If you're asking yourself, "Okay, why should I do this?" Hear me out. It's my personal belief that a completely healthy lifestyle includes being a forever athlete. Maybe this can be the thing that gets you moving again! If you swim fast, your kids will say, "Wow! I never knew you could do that!" If you swim slow, your kids will say, "Wow! I'm pretty good at swimming; better than you, Mom/Dad!" Either way, they'll be inspired. Relive your glory days. We're waiting for you.

    How do I sign up???

Click here to register on our SwimTopia. We only have 2 meets left, so Joe Peeden our league director said we can discount the fee to $50. Both of the meets are at the Knoxville Racquet Club (KRC). Don't have a swim cap? No worries, I have some with our unique logo of an eagle and barracuda already waiting for you.

    • Tuesday, July 29th at 6 PM
    • Sunday, August 10th at probably 6 PM but we don't know yet

Let me know if you have any questions! If you're a swammer parent, expect me to confront you at practice in-person about this as well :)

    GO CUDAS!!!
