Swim Updated: Meet Results, SMI, & 4th of July Practice

    Good afternoon, Barracudas!

Attached to this email are our results from our last dual meet Tuesday night at Whittington Creek. While we didn't beat them this time, I was still really happy with how we swam. The vast majority of 14 & Unders set best times. Many swam new events for the first time. After the meet, their referee gave me some feedback where he basically said that our parent workers were the most hardworking, efficient, and respectful that he's seen in maybe the entire league. That was amazing to hear, especially after last year's fiasco with this team (if you know, you know).

Also attached to this email are our final entries for the Smoky Mountain Invitational (SMI). I had to take out a few kids from the 11-12 and 13-14 age groups, so it's possible things will look different for any kids of those ages. Relays changed the most, and remember, they're subject to change again during the meet itself. Be aware that Bryan Purdom is our parent rep/volunteer coordinator for SMI, not Barbara or Erik. So, if you have questions or concerns about jobs, Bryan is your guy. His phone number is 865-237-5522.

Finally, we have confirmed that we can play water polo Saturday morning at the outdoor pool from 8:30 to 9:30 to celebrate the 4th! Hopefully, we'll have both pools where we can have the little kids play in the lap pool and the big kids play in the L pool. This "practice" is totally optional and just for fun. If any parent is interested in getting donuts, watermelon, or anything else for the kids, let me know!

Stay cool and hydrated! GO CUDAS!!!

    Josh
